Piggies!!

EEEP! I am obsessed with these adorable funtivities! The kiddos have LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the Three Little Pigs portion of our Fairy Tales unit! Today, we retold the story using our retelling puppets. Then we wrote a letter to the Big Bad Wolf. To finish up, students wrote a summary of the story and then completed the the piggy craft. We've had a lot of fun! I can't wait to introduce our new fairy tale tomorrow! Check back to see what fairy we will cover next!

I love VALENTINE'S DAY!

I absolutely ADORE Valentine's Day! My mom always made Valentine's Day so special for me as a kiddo and to this day I've always loved Valentine's Day! I love spoiling my husband, kiddos, and students on the day all about LOVE. I think I almost love vday as much as I love Christmas! I love it SO much that I made a VDAY freebie for all of you! 

My kiddos are all about coloring, and to be honest- SO AM I! I even have adult coloring books at home. I love sitting down with my art stuff and coloring. So, naturally I came up with spelling tests that are also coloring pages! My student's love all of the different templates, they have also been doing great on their tests! I think the coloring helps ease the stress kiddos sometimes have when taking tests!

Foldables!!

I posted a new product to my TpT on Friday! It's a packet of word study foldables! I am in love with foldables and so are my kiddos. We do at least one a week and also use them a ton in our interactive math and reading notebooks. They are a fun and easy way to get students engaged. I also love them because they are an easy formative assessment. Check out this amazing product!

I am going to try something... I was inspired by another TpT seller that sold their new products at 20% off- I thought that was a great idea considering new products often have a hard time selling because there isn't feedback!! Hopefully it works! (leave feedback hint hint)

Me on the Map

 One of my favorite units I teach is the Me on the Map unit. My kids love it! It's a great way to teach students geography and map skills. It lays it out in a way students understand and retain. Here are some photos from our publishing party we had when we were done with the unit. They took a lot of pride in their finished products. Fun FREEBIE!

So, I was looking at my book bin labels in my classroom the other day and realized how beat up and nasty they were---some where even missing completely! SO, I decided I needed make the CUTEST book bin labels possible...but my computer thought differently! My word processor locked up or froze about 17 times right when I would be in the middle of making them- and then it would completely erase my work! UGH!!! I was so annoyed today that I just about threw my computer out the window. So, after about 2 hours of messing with it i decided to uninstall the program and then reinstall it. IT WORKED! I was able to make the book bin labels and because of all my trouble I am going to make them a FREEBIE so others can enjoy what brought me STRESS ha! But, seriously ENJOY!!!!

The Light of My Life

    I apologize for being MIA for the past week! I've been planning and preparing for my son's first birthday party! 
It was a lot of work, but it was well worth it-he deserves the world. He is the light of my life and to be able to celebrate his 1st year of life is truly a remarkable feeling. I love this little man so much! Here is a peek from his party yesterday!

Along with planning Jonah's birthday bash- I've been teaching my "Asking Questions" unit at school! The kids LOVE it!
